Our Location



We are located in Midville, GA. The center of Midville is located at the intersection of GA 17 and GA 56. Ogeechee Camp Town is on the south side of town just north of the Ogeechee River. Midville is 17 miles north of Swainsboro, GA and 23 miles south of Waynesboro, GA.

Our Story

Our names are Greg and Joy. 

 

Greg and I have been married for over 25 years now. We've always talked about getting and RV and living in it. Well, back in November of 2013, we were forced to move from our home of over 10 years because of mold. We found that no matter where we looked to rent, it was too expensive to live in an area where we felt safe. So, we went and bought an used RV, found a campground near us and moved in. We found we love the smaller space and the affordability of RVing. 

 

We have visited several campgrounds and numerous state and national parks...and realized we wanted to have our own campground. We know what we look for in a campground, so we will try to offer all that and then some. We are striving to be unique, a little different, offering more than the rest. 

 

In time we hope to have our own produce stand and horses to ride. We are planning a playground for the children. We will putting in a fenced in area for travelers with pets. Pets need to exercise, too and we want to offer something for them to burn off some energy.

Welcome to Ogeechee Camp Town



We are a new, personally run camping area located in a small, country town along the Ogeecgee River. We are far enough from the cities to be peaceful and relaxing, but close enough to be convenient.



About Us



We have been RVers since November 2013. We have fallen in love with the lifestyle and want to share that with others. We like meeting new people and making new friends. We hoping you will visit us and either decide to stay or come back on your next camping trip.
